Hi! In this note I define two important operators associated with a dynamical system, the Perron-Frobenius and the Transfer operators. I also proved many properties of them. Many examples are explicitly computed.

O link é da minha pasta pública do dropbox: Transfer and Perron Frobenius Operators
Hi! I’m Rafael Lucena, a PHD student at UFRJ – “Universidade Federal do Rio de Janeiro” and UNIPI - “Università di Pisa” by means of a co-tutorship program. My research area is Ergodic Theory and Statistical Properties of Dynamical Systems. I'm disclosing on this blog some notes I have written during this journey. I also warn you that many proofs were given by me, however you must use the notes with care! Please, let me know about mathematical and even grammatical mistakes. Best wishes!! Rafael

Spectral Gap and Statistical Properties for Piecewise Expanding Maps
Hi! In this lecture note i'll prove Decay of Correlations for a large class of piecewise expanding dynamical systems of the unit interval. To do it we will look at the spectrum of the Perron Frobenius operator and observe that it has spectral gap when restricted to the space of BV functions.

Spectral Gap and Statistical Properties for Piecewise Expanding Maps
